Official Presentation of the New ADER Foundation
A New Beginning to Improve the Quality of Life of People with Chronic Kidney Disease

On Saturday, June 22nd, it was a very special day for us with the official presentation of the new ADER Foundation, surrounded by collaborators and friends, after nearly 50 years of hard work and commitment to chronic kidney disease. This heartfelt event, with an audience of nearly 300 people both live at CaixaForum in collaboration with "la Caixa" Foundation, and via streaming, reaffirmed our commitment to take the foundation further, making it a benchmark in promoting research in this area, always focusing our actions on the patient and empowering them to improve their quality of life.

We had the honor of the presence and inspiring words of Dr. Jaume Tort Bardolet, Director of the Catalan Transplant Organization (OCATT) of the Catalan Health System, who shared with us the successful model in Catalonia in his talk "Catalonia, Leadership in Transplantation". We were also joined by Dr. Laia Sans Atxer, President of the Catalan Association of Nephrology, who highlighted our strong commitment to innovative projects that enhance the quality of life of people with kidney disease, including the creation of new augmented reality and 3D content for dialysis patients. Additionally, we had valuable perspectives and initiatives aligned with ADER Foundation from collaborators such as Sergio Soto from Hansa Biopharma, Núria Garrofé i Sabater from Astellas Pharma, and Eduard Tarragona Tarragona from Chiesi Group. We also had the involvement of the Association En Tus Zapatos, which supports children with kidney disease and their families.

Especially moving was the tribute to Dr. Federico Oppenheimer from Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, a true leader in nephrology and transplantation with over 40 years of dedication. Also touching was the posthumous recognition of Antonio Tombas as Honorary President in Memoriam of ADER Foundation, whose dream of turning the association into a foundation has finally come true.

I want to thank the entire team of ADER Foundation for this beginning, and for the energy, drive, and determination shown throughout all the preparations, especially Jonathan Hayes and María Jesús Rodríguez, for their incredible work.

From ADER Foundation, we will continue working tirelessly to fulfill our mission. We appreciate the support of all those present and those who have accompanied us on this journey.
The future is promising, and together we will make a great difference!
